Programming Degree

The Programming Degree will provide you with all the intellectual tools ans skills from computer science and the art of programming.

This Degree is aimed at any person, there is no need to have any previous knowledge in programming. You will learn the core concepts of programming, which constitutes the basic tools required to work as a programmer in today's technology feild. If you already know a bit about programming, but you still don't have a full grasp of the core concepts, this Degree is for you too!

We will teach you to solve programming and software design problems, focusing on style and quality, and also the effectivity and correctness of your solution.

Although you will learn several programming languages during the Course, you will fundamentally learn the skills and abilities needed to code properly in any programming language. And also you will be able to teach yourself to code in other languages in the future.

The Course starts by teaching the basic concepts of programming, using Scratch. Then it teaches how those concepts are applied in C, our starting programming language, which is the base from most of the other programming languages that exist today. After this, you will learn Python, a higher level than C, that you will be able to understand and learn faster thanks to all the core concepts you already learned at this point. You will also learn the basics of data handling, using relational databases and learning SQL. Reaching the end of the Course, you will dive into the world of telecommunications and networking. You will learn programming languages like HTML, CSS and JavaScript, that are assential to the Internet and with which you will be able to create web and mobile applications.

Finally, you will work on a complete software project. You will learn the basics of software analysis, design and implementation. You will code a program using Python and SQL. During the whole project, you will interact with the teachers in several deliveries until you get your final grade and your Diploma and Certification.

How you will learn?

You will learn at your own pace, using the Artfultec Academy platform, fully online. You will be able to manage your own study time in the way that best suits your schedule.

You will study with theory and practice lessons in video, with written material and practices guided by expert teachers that will show you first hand how to perform the tasks. With a proper balance between theory and practice, you will answer questionnaires, you will take tests and deliver projects for the exercices that are used to assess, validate and incorporate your knowledge. You will be able to access all the study material as much as you need.

You will interact with the teachers through the Artfultec Academy Campus, in the message forums and in the live Webinars that are streamed periodically. You will also be in contact with your fellow classmates in the Campus, exchanging ideas, suggestions and possible solutions to the exercises as you progress through your studies.

The exercises and problems that you will use to study and practices are inspired in specific problems from the world of science, humanities, society and arts.

Each subject, topic and lesson will be unblocked as you progress through the studies and pass each of the questionnaires, tests and practices, that will serve as evaluations of your learning and achievements.

This Course has an estimated total commitment time of 310 hours approximately. But depending on your skills, dedication and other factors, it's possible that you may require a bit less or maybe some more time. This is different from person to person.

Although you will be able to study in the moments you deem convenient for yourself, we strongly recommend that you organize your schedule so you can commit a minimum of 10 hours per week to your studies. This way you will advance in a steady pace, you will get the practice and habits needed for studying. If you commit with yourself this way, you will be able to complete this Course in 31 weeks approximately (or 8 months approximately). Again, keep in mind that it might take you a bit less or some more time, depending on different personal factors. Only for comparison purposes, if you commit 20 hours per week, you could finish your studies in 16 weeks (4 months aproximatelly)

Once enrolled, you will receive full access to the Artfultec Academy Campus and you will have access for life. Yes, for life! But we recommend that you commit with yourself to meet a study plan, and try to finish it in less than 62 weeks (15 months approximately). This way you can keep up with the latest in technology and keep yourself updated.
